Prepare yourself for some more slacker philosophy, Norway's coolest and sexiest goth, Nemi Montoya is back with another dose of healthy cynicism and a love of all things fantasy, courtesy of Lise Myhre's frank, irreverent and hilarious cartoon creation... The third volume of Nemi collects together another collection of comic strips that follow the loves and life of goth girl Nemi Montoya. In this volume she shares her views on men, alcohol, chocolate, shopping, skiing, digeloos (you'll find out) and purple nice thingy with glitter inside that makes a nice sound. Nemi is the creation of Lise Myhre and first appeared in London's Metro newspaper in 2003. This hardback graphic novel collects together another batch of Nemi's best strips. This is basically a sideways look at life through the eyes of a young goth girl who sleeps in until late and socialises in the evenings in some of London's trendy clubs and pubs. Obviously part autobiographical, Nemi is easy to relate to even if you are not a goth yourself. There's no let up in the quality of either the art or gags. Everyone will find something to amuse them in Nemi's world. 9 Darren Rea Buy this item online |
