As the free Fables struggle to regroup following the destruction of their New York City stronghold, they are suddenly faced with a wholly new menace - one that threatens not only their adopted planet, but all of reality itself. Against such a terrible power, can even the combined abilities of these legendary storybook heroes prevail? Only one thing is certain: once the battle is joined, the world of Fables will never be the same... The Great Fables Crossover collects together issues #83 to 85 of Fables; Jack of Fables #33 to 35 and the 3-issue miniseries The Literals. When Jack of Fables discovers the existence of The Literals ad their leader, The Storymaker, Jack must leave his own adventures behind and cross back into the world of Fables to warn Fabletown about Kevin Thorn. But will the Storymaker close the book on the Fables universe once and for all? The main plot threads see Jack return to Fabletown; Jack Frost trying to track down his father; and Bigby and some of the other Fables on a mission to stop Kevin Thorn from writing a new future in which mankind and the Fables no longer exist. At just over 220 pages in length this is pretty good value for money. As ever, with this series, not a single page - nor panel - is wasted. This collection is packed to bursting with original content. 9 Darren Rea Buy this item online |
