Norway's most famous (and provocative) goth export returns for her fourth book in this new hardback collection of Lise Myhre's daily comic strip, featuring an introduction by punk-rock legend Gaye Advert. Created when Myhre "set out to find an imaginary friend" and named after Italy's ancient (and supposedly enchanted) Lake Nemi and fictional hero Inigo Montoya of The Princess Bride (one of Myhre's favourite films), Nemi Montoya is a goth-tinged heroine for the modern twenty-something's, tapping into all the fun, fervour and frustrations of the 21st Century woman. Volume 4 in this ongoing series takes in just over a year in the life of Nemi (starting just before Christmas and finishing just after the following Christmas. There's no drop in the quality, and there's no repeating of gags. It would seem that Nemi and Myhre still have a lot to say and I, for one, am grateful. 9 Darren Rea Buy this item online |
