UFC Undisputed 2010 is the latest instalment of the mixed martial arts video game franchise. Players must navigate a roster of more than 100 prolific UFC fighters, each fully rendered to convey a photo realistic appearance. Enhanced combat offers players a new Sway System with full upper body and head movement that allows for the dodging of attacks. On the ground, a new Posture System enables players to deliver stronger, fight-ending strikes from every position. In addition, players manage Octagon control with new strikes, submissions, transitions and cage positions, as well as experience added realism with the introduction of Southpaw stance...

For fans of Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC) it doesn't get better than this. THQ has listened to the few minor issues fans had with the previous releases and not only tackled those, but added additional content and abilities. For starters, the developers have added new Sambo, Karate and Greco-Roman Wrestling moves to give your character even more ways to take down your opponents.

In addition, the online play allows you to form fight camps and leagues to participate in ranking and champion tracking systems. So you and your friends can go up against other teams to see who is the ultimate fighter.

The commentary is also pretty impressive. I never heard a wrong anything that didn't match up with what was going on onscreen, nor was there much in the way of repetition - and what was repeated didn't annoy.

There are plenty of different modes to ensure that there's something for everyone - whether you want to engage in a long career or just jump in and have a quick fight.

Fight fans will love the ability to customise your character and moves to create an individual character. By far the most impressive true fight game on the market.
