Devonte Hynes is better known as Lightspeed Champion and is a British Composer, songwriter and author. Although born in Houston, Texas, Hynes was raised in Essex, UK since the age of 2 but now resides in New York.

The name Lightspeed Champion was taken from a series of comic strips that Hynes drew whilst a teenager, in his school books.

To coincide with the Lightspeed Champion UK tour they are releasing a digital single entitled, 'Madame Van Damme'.

The drums kick this single off to a flying start with a strong beat which is joined by the offbeat melody on guitar and finally joined by vocals which are just as quirky. The chorus lyrics are made up of "Kill me baby wont you kill me..." and believe it or not stay in your head long after the song has finished.

This is a catchy little number which has an Hawaiian feel about it through some of its part, listen out for that vibe.
