Lady Daisey is the new face for BBE Records and once you hear her music you can see why they were quick to sign her up.

Having previously played different venues around the globe, from small smoky joints to big fiery hip hop festivals, Daisey's message is the same; love and inspiration to all. Singing since the age of five, Daisey sure knows how to use her happy go lucky vibes and seems to turn everything she sings into sunshine.

Daisey is here with her much awaited album, In My Pocket, which is a feast for the ears with summertime playful vibes and soulful tones.

I love Daisey's opener, '4am', it's full of soul and has a refreshing bright sound to it.

'Day Old Bread' is a strange number not only for the vocals; "...Day old bread in my pocket keeps me happy..." but also the musical arrangement is quite quirky. Just when we think we know the sound of Lady Daisey out she comes with this track.

'Magical' has a fresh, bright sound, bringing happiness and soul to the ears and heart of everyone who listens.

Singing with a mission is 'Wants And Needs' Feat. Akrobatik, Daisey sings how she wants peace in the Middle East, love surrounding her, to feel safe on the street, wants justice and the list goes on. It's actually a good sounding tune and although a little corny it does work.

The strings in 'Promise Sunshine' bring a certain sophistication to this song, yet at the same time Daisey delivers her playful sound. Fantastic.

'Zookeeper' is one on its own! Singing about animals in the zoo and taking into the lyrics "...that's the way I like it, aha aha". Not forgetting animal noises too which include a hyena, elephant, monkey and more! A very strange and intriguing song that only someone with Daisey's talent could carry off.

I'm a fan of Daisey and will forgive her any weird songs but if quirky soul music isn't up your street then I would maybe leave this alone.
