In general, whenever someone starts a sentence with the phrase, "I don’t mean to be rude", you should be worried, brace yourself for some low down and dirty rudeness or run for the hills. In this case, Spoek Mathambo is inviting you to join in on the dirty fun with the third single ‘Don’t Mean To Be Rude’ from his debut album Mshini Wam.

Spoek Mathambo's musical abilities are not in doubt, this is a very catchy tune, but I wasn't as impressed with his lyrics (rhyming lemonade, grenade and hey, hey hey'd just seemed a little lazy) or the annoying backing singers "doo-doo coo-coo" sounds.

There are five mixes of the track on this EP and they do all bring a very different flavour to the basic theme running through the track.

This EP includes the original edit; 'Toadally Krossed Out 3ball Remix'; 'Scratcha DVA Remix'; 'Don Rimini Doo Doo Remix'; and 'Clean-Radio Edit'.

So, a catchy tune and one that you can dance to in the clubs - just ignore the lyrics.
