Collectively vocalist Jodie Scantlebury, producer / multi instrumentalist Alastair McNeill, bassist Jack Allinson and drummer Joshua Blackmore are known as Aloosh.

Drawing influence from the worlds of electronica, alternative indie and jazz Aloosh's sound isn't one that can be easily pigeonholed.

Their new single 'Time' is one that you'll either instantly warm to, or hate the second you hear it. Sadly I wasn't overly struck by it. While interesting enough, it sounded a little too disjointed and wasn't a track I'd rush out and buy.

Scantlebury's vocals reminded me of Kate Nash. To be honest I'd certainly love to hear their new album, as there's great promise in this single. It's just that this feels more like a good b-side rather than a single in its own right.
