Young Fathers release their debut single 'Nothing Left (So Here's a Beat)' though Black Sugar Music, taken from their forthcoming album The Guide, which will be released on 06 February 2012.

Hailing from Nigeria, Liberia and the banlieue schemes of Edinburgh, Young Fathers create soulful, bass-heavy music overlaid with passionate sparring words. Together the three members G, Ally and Kayus are like a family. 'Nothing Left' deals with the realisation between these family members that the most important thing in their lives is their creative work together as Young Fathers.

The finished sound of the group reflects the varied backgrounds of each band member. G, the son of a taxi driver, barn in Drylaw, a scheme in the north of Edinburgh. Ally, originally from Liberia, left the country due to civil war when he was four and came to Edinburgh. Kayus, the son of Nigerian born parents, arrived in the UK from Nigeria via Montgomery County, USA.

'Nothing Left (So Here's a Beat)' is an interesting release and I'm looking forward to soaking up the album.
