Archie Goodwin and Walter Simonson's New York Times bestselling adaptation of Ridley Scott's groundbreaking sci-fi horror movie Alien returns in an all-new edition, digitally remastered for the first time using the original colour artwork from the artist's personal archive... For fans of Ridley Scott's 1979 sci-fi movie Alien, this reprinted graphic novel is a must buy. This comic adaptation was originally printed by Heavy Metal Communications in 1979. As you'd expect, being an Archie Goodwin adaptation, this hits all the right marks. Goodwin is possibly most famous for adapting the original Star Wars into comics and newspaper strips and once again with Alien he weaves his magic. It's a strange release for Titan Books to bring out now, but that doesn't make it any less welcome. While the artwork may have dated a little, that won't spoil your enjoyment of what is otherwise an almost flawless release. 8 Darren Rea |
