'Medicines' is the debut single from Northern Irish band Ed Zealous. The foursome's signature sound is a mid-temp mash-up of cassios, heavy beats and sizzling synths. The band list David Bowie, Talking Heads and Pulp amongst their main influences.

'Medicines' is an upbeat track that has one foot firmly planted in the '80s. It's a thumping dance track that explores the theme of paranoia.

It's a great track, and if this is anything to go by, the band's forthcoming album will be one I'll be looking forward to hearing.
