Order of the Arrow

Artist: Blessed Feathers
Label: Blessed Feathers
RRP: £13.99
Release Date: 05 November 2013

Wisconsin bedroom folk duo Blessed Feathers release their new LP Order Of The Arrow. The album was produced by Kevin McMahon (Real Estate, The Walkman, Titus Andronicus) and features Doug Keith who's Sharon Van Etten's guitarist. The band's influences range from '60s African Funk & Blues, South American guitar and the Americana lyricism of early Bruce Springsteen.

Order of the Arrow represents an interesting collection of musical styles. Whether you like the music or not, there's no getting away from the fact that each track is worlds apart from the last one.

Personal highlights include the catchy 'Speaking Portugese' [sic]; the stripped back banjo centred 'Wild World'; the beautiful 'Real Song For Emily; and the laid back 'From the End of August till the Start of May'.

The album contains 11 tracks and lasts for approximately 39 minutes.
