As Ichigo and Ulquiorra battle, Loly and Menoly find a golden opportunity to dispose of Orihime. Unable to defend herself, Orihime is attacked without remorse while a new enemy arises. Yammy breaks through the floor of the Fifth Tower as Ulquiorra's reinforcement. The combined attacks of Ichigo and Uryu all seem useless against Ulquiorra and Yammy. Meanwhile, in the World of the Living, the mysterious Visoreds step onto the battlefield. Will they be friend or foe...? Bleach: Series 13 - Part 2 (eps 279 – 291) is the continuation of the Bleach franchise. The show is presented on a three disc DVD set. I guess there is some sense with such a long running series, not to fix anything which isn’t broken. The series has come a long way and with only a couple of seasons left, there is a feeling that the story is coming to its climatic ending. However, along the way the show still provides everything which Bleach fans have come to expect in terms of action sequences. On the down side, the show could be compulsive watching when it concentrated on the story rather than just setting up the next fight, but chooses not to do this most of the time. In the second half of season thirteen, Aizen continues to loom large as a villain which may finally be the match of Ichigo. This part of the story sees the Soul Reapers being forced into an alliance with Visored prior to the continuation of the battle against the Espadas. The problem is that we have seen all of this before and although the show provides some standout moment, the overall series has become formulaic, giving the feeling that it has run long enough for it to feel like it has finally run its course. The animation remains of a high quality, as it has mostly throughout the show's run. The extras are, as usual, limited; I don’t count the adverts for other shows that you are forced to watch before even getting to the menu. Disc one had a karaoke version of the opening sequence (1 min, 30 sec), this largess extends to disc two with the karaoke closing sequence (1 min, 30 sec). Audio is either an English dub, which is generally very good or the original Japanese. 7 Charles Packer Buy this item online
