The Deadmen (EP)

Artist: The Deadmen
Label: 8 Gang Switch
RRP: £6.99
Release Date: 17 March 2014

The Deadmen are are a three-piece (folk-rock) outfit originating from Washington D.C. The band combine elements of folk, punk, Americana and old school rock.

The band's self-titled debut EP, The Deadmen, contains 5 tracks (25 min) that gives us a wonderful introduction to their dynamic range of folk-rock. The resulting sound is like someone dragging the best of AOR from the '80s kicking and screaming into the here and now.

Each of the five tracks on this EP could be a sell-out single in its own right: from the toe-tapping opening bars of 'Let Your Fingers Rule' to the closing guitar riff of 'Sons and Dogs (Radio Final'.

This is a band worth keeping an eye on. If there's any justice in this world, it's only a matter of time before they become a household name.
