Olivier Derivière's latest score is for Bandai Namco Entertainment Supernova. The game's futuristic science fiction setting, with technology and space-faring races, offers huge game play possibilities. Players are transported to a universe where contests between commanders are won with unique technologies and strange alien powers. Set in the distant, space-faring future, Supernova takes an innovative approach to the multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) genre by adding real-time strategy (RTS) elements and promises an exciting science fiction setting with vast potential.

Supernova is another impressive score by Derivière (Remember Me; Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag - Freedom Cry). The soundtrack contains 10 tracks (24 min, 11 sec)... I could have easily listened to over an hour's worth of music in this vein.

I was instantly reminded of Alan Silverstri's work on Back to the Future and Predator in the tracks 'Hostile Planet', 'Under Pressure' and 'The Heroes'; whist 'Exploring a New World' and 'Supernova' brought to mind Derivière's previous score for Remember Me.

It's an epic score with many subtle elements and a whole truckload of emotional moments. If you're a fan of the composer's previous scores then you will totally fall in love with this.
