Goodness

Artist: The Hotelier
Label: Tiny Engines
RRP: £13.99
Release Date: 10 June 2016

Goodness is The Hotelier's third full-length LP. When the album opened, with 'N 43° 59' 38.927- W 71° 23' 45.27''' I was a little worried that this would be an album peppered with poetry. Thankfully it's not.

The album sits comfortably between Indie Rock and Folk - which sounds an old mix but it works pretty well.

Goodness contains 12 tracks (46 min, 18 sec) and is one that may take a little time to appreciate. I have to admit to not being a huge fan on the first few plays through, but over time I really started to connect to the majority of the tracks.

There's a tightness and a confidence to the performances here. The recordings feel spontaneous and, in places, a little raw - which is a good thing. Their legions of fans will not be disappointed by what The Hotelier deliver here.
