Blood Moon

Artist: M Craft
Label: Heavenly Recordings
RRP: £13.99
Release Date: 17 June 2016

Living in a cabin on the edge of the Mojave desert, M Craft discovered that isolation loves a soundtrack. Without the usual urban chaos to disturb the natural order, the volume of the eco-system rose on everything within earshot. Blood Moon is M Craft's third album and is very much a score for seclusion and was inspired by witnessing the titular lunar event twice during his time as a desert resident...

Blood Moon is an inspiring, low key, emotional roller coaster of an album. From the LP's instrumental opener, 'New Horizons', to the closing 'Love Is All' which washes over you like an incoming tide, M Craft delivers some incredibly moving songs.

The album contains 10 songs (42 min, 24 sec), with personal highlights including the haunting tracks 'Afterglow' and 'Love is the Devil'.

It's a beautiful album and one that's well worth picking up. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to track down his previous two albums.
