Pavo Pavo are a Brooklyn-based experimental quintet who started writing together while studying music at Yale University. Since then, its members have worked closely with indie and classical acts such as Here We Go Magic, John Zorn, Dave Longstreth, Porches, Olga Bell, Lucius, Roomful of Teeth, and San Fermin. They release their new album, Young Narrator in the Breakers, through Bella Union... Pavo Pavo deliver a sound that's hard not to fall in love with. Young Narrator in the Breakers contains 12 tracks (42 min, 31 sec) and offers a hypnotic fusion of indie pop from a bygone era, while still managing to sound of the here and now. They mix the essence of Talking Heads with Ooberman to create something both original and instantly addictive. The album kicks off with the trippy, dreamy 'Ran Ran Run'. Other memorable tracks include 'Wiserway'; and '2020, We'll Have Nothing Going On'. It's an interesting album that delivers something a little different. 8 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
