MovieScore Media release the soundtrack to Miles, composed by Justin Bell and Jonathan Levi Shanesis. The film tells the story of a kid from middle America who is desperate to move to Chicago, joins the volleyball team to get a scholarship - the only catch is that his high school only has a girls team...

When you consider this is Justin Bell and Jonathan Levi Shanes's movie score debut, you really can't fault it. It's a lighthearted, feel good collection of themes. The album contains 20 tracks (42 min, 49 sec) and opens and closes on the album's most impressive tracks.

We open with the memorable song 'Stop and Go' and close with ''Miles' Movie Music (bonus track)'. It's this final track that made me realise what this album could have been. There's a good mix of James Horner and John Williams in here (however, I was mostly reminded of Patrick Cassidy's main theme for Calvary).

While the rest of the tracks are interesting, they mainly represent a collection of music cues - albeit diverse and intricate. Other notable tracks include 'Banned', which sounds like the main theme to a comedy spy show; 'Get Your Chance'; and 'Cemetery Walkthrough'.

Overall an enjoyable lighthearted score which will blow away the blues.
