For far too long, Holiday Friends has been in a state of flux. While a trio of musicians - singer/guitarist Scott Fagerland, his multi-instrumentalist brother Jon, and bassist Zack O’Connor - have remained as the core of this Astoria, Oregon-based alternative rock group since 2008, other members came and went. Night Terrors is the new release from Holiday Friends. The best (and easiest) way to describe them is a light weight '90s version of Keane.

The album contains 11 songs (49 min, 21 sec) and while I did enjoy this pop album, I can't help feeling it's somewhat out of time. 'Heyday' incorporates a fist-pumping chorus and throwback ‘80s synth pulses. There's also a segment that reminded me of Whitney Houston's 'How Will I Know'.
