RJ Thompson’s brand new album's poignant lyrics perfectly capture the mood of the past 12 months, with songs that won’t fail to resonate. A colourful, and at times nostalgic, soundscape that breaks the mould of stereotypical modern-day singer songwriter...

There's an '80s vibe running through RJ Thompson's new album, Echo Chamber. It got to the point where I kept looking up from what I was doing thinking... "That sounds like..." There were so many moments that reminded me of classic hits of the '80s that I began to wonder if this was intentional, that the album's title alluded to this homage to the past.

One thing is certain that the album's 9 songs (32 min, 58 sec) will stick with you long after you've finished listening to it. I've been playing this for several weeks now and I constantly find elements that I'd missed in previous listens.

This is a lovingly produced nod to the past with some impressive retro production values. Thompson captures the essence of everything that was positive about the '80s music scene and brings it kicking and screaming into the present day.
