Creep Show release their debut album, Mr. Dynamite, through Bella Union. Creep Show is a collaboration of John Grant and Wrangler (Stephen Mallinder of Cabaret Voltaire, Phil Winter and Benge). Recorded in Cornwall with a lifetime’s collection of drum machines and synthesizers assembled by Benge and explored by every member of Creep Show, there’s a real sense of freedom in the shackles-off grooves, channelling the early pioneering spirit of the Sugarhill Gang through wires and random electric noise...

I've been listening to this album on and off for a month now and I'm still not sure what to make of it. The only thing I'm totally certain of is that these guys have a great sense of humour and the world they live in is not the same world that most of us inhabit.

The energy and obvious fun they had concocting and performing this album comes across as the main driving force, and I'd argue the main reason that you would want to pick this up.

Overall though, sadly it wasn't an album that I would want to listen to that often or to relax to. It's just a bit too experimental and a bit to trippy for me to recommend it. If you're looking for something new - and a little bit "out there" this might be for you.
