Atticus (single)

Isobel Holly has packed quite a lot into the last few years, self-releasing two EPS, co-written tracks with various EDM producers/DJs including Erik Connie and performed at live shows across the UK and in Denmark. Pretty impressive for a young artist is just 19 years old. Based in Bath, Holly has just released her new single 'Atticus'...

We don't normally review singles or EPs, but we were so impressed with Isobel Holly's new release 'Atticus' that we decided to throw out the rule book and spend a little time with it.

It's an interesting track, being part rock, part country with a little folk twist. It showcases Holly's vocal range perfectly. She's restrained when needed, but lets rip when required.

It's a catchy and instantly memorable song, making it a bit of a winner. The only slight downside is that the fade out at the end weakens it a little. It could so easily have been wrapped up with a bang, instead of going out with a bit of a whimper.

Personally, I'm very much looking forward to a full album.
