Milan Records release Ghost of Tsushima: Music From Iki Island & Legends with music by Chad Cannon and Bill Hemstapat. The album features 45 minutes of new music for the Director’s Cut of Ghost of Tsushima. In the late 13th century, the Mongol empire has laid waste to entire nations along their campaign to conquer the East. Tsushima Island is all that stands between mainland Japan and a massive Mongol invasion fleet led by the ruthless and cunning general, Khotun Khan. As the island burns in the wake of the first wave of the Mongol assault, samurai warrior Jin Sakai stands as one of the last surviving members of his clan. He is resolved to do whatever it takes, at any cost, to protect his people and reclaim his home. He must set aside the traditions that have shaped him as a warrior to forge a new path, the path of the Ghost, and wage an unconventional war for the freedom of Tsushima...

Following on from Ilan Eshkeri and Shigeru Umebayashi's original score for the console game Ghost of Tsushima, Chad Cannon and Bill Hemstapat release additional music for the Director's Cut of the game. If anything I'd argue that Ghost of Tsushima: Music From Iki Island & Legends contains a more interesting mix of styles and themes than the original album, and certainly grabs your attention throughout.

The soundtrack contains 15 tracks (47 min, 28 sec) and I can honestly say that there wasn't a duff track, nor a dull moment here. Its wall to wall engaging, adrenaline pumping action themes ensure you'll want to keep replaying this. There are the occasional reflective beautiful moments, but this is mainly a soundtrack packed with action and suspense.
