Milan Records releases music from the hugely popular anime franchise Fullmetal Alchemist for the first time ever outside of Japan. Available everywhere now are 11 original soundtracks, including music from both the original Fullmetal Alchemist television series and the Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood series, as well as soundtracks from the franchise’s two feature-length films, Fullmetal Alchemist: The Conqueror of Shamballa and Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos...

While I originally owned many of the Fullmetal Alchemist albums from when they were originally released in Japan, I hadn't heard of this album before. The press information is limited, but looking online it appears to be a collection of character theme songs from the series.

Personally I don't recall any of these from the show, so I'm not sure if they're a "songs inspired by..." sort of affair, but it matters not as this is quite an engaging and diverse collection of songs. The album's 12 tracks (50 min, 43 sec) are sung by various artists, but grouped under a made up band called The Alchemists.

While not an essential collection, for fans of the anime series this is a wonderfully inspired album that has plenty to enjoy.
