In Soccer Chess you will play a soccer match using chess pieces

For chess and puzzle fans, Chessarama is an incredibly addictive game. I kept thinking "Just one more go" and before I knew it, hours had passed.

The game has a number of themed segments for you to plow though. These include Farm Life; Dragon Slayers; Street Soccer; Lady Ronin; Last Stand; Knight Supreme; Pawn Mania; and Soccer Chess.

Each segment has set goals. For example, in Dragon Slayer, you need to push your pawn to the end of a path in order to kill the mighty dragon. But it will not be that easy! The dragon attacks the board every time the pawn moves and every undefended piece will die. In Lady Ronin, Chess meets Sokoban. You play with a Ronin (a chess queen) and you need to eliminate the other pieces in order to get close to the Shogun and kill it. Pieces move like in chess, but push each other like in sokoban. In Soccer Chess you will play a soccer match using chess pieces. You will need to think a few moves ahead if you want to break through the adversary's defences to score a goal.

It's the diversity to the levels that will keep you coming back for more as your attempt to beat those games that seem almost impossible to complete.

For young players, or those who are learning to play chess, Chessarama also acts as a sort of introduction to the pieces and how they move.

It's such a fun and insanely cheap puzzle game that you'd be foolish not to grab it while you can.
