Love in the Void is Hammock's twelfth album. You'd be forgiven for thinking that after so many LP releases they would be running on autopilot, but this has all the hallmarks of a duo that love what they do. With its enthusiasm and constant experimentation, this feels like a second album.

It's a modern classical, ambient, shoegaze, and post-rock affair that delivers 13 (1 hr, 12 min, 13 sec) of retro sounding chill out vibes.

It's timeless and could have been produced back in the '80s or 40 years from now. But I think what I loved most about this collection is that from track to track you never know where the music is going to take you. The diversity is impressive, especially considering how long the duo have been performing for.
