The original score to Active Shooter, with music by Simone Cilio, is released via Plaza Mayor Company Ltd. Held up in an office restroom during an active shooter situation, three women find their trust tested when they start looking for holes in a fellow victim’s story...

Simone Cilio's electronic score for Active Shooter contains a good balance between ambient atmospheric cues and themes designed to build suspense and unsettle the listener.

The album consists of 13 tracks (48 min, 14 sec). While there are no truly memorable themes here, other than the opening 'Don't Trust Him', the subtle element of the music makes this a score that will wash over you. It's the perfect soundtrack to put on while playing games where you want an extra level of suspense to heighten the experience. It's not an overly comfortable score to listen to in isolation - which to be fair it was never intended for.

Discussing the project, Cilio says: "I had the privilege of scoring Active Shooter, and it was an incredibly inspiring experience. Collaborating with director Robert Milburn, we set out to push our boundaries, aiming to create a unique musical language that would enhance the emotional depth of the story. The film provided an opportunity to craft a score that not only heightened tension and suspense but also conveyed the profound human emotions, I worked hard to create distorted sounds, dissonant textures and rhythm patterns to play with the tension. Working on Active Shooter challenged us to experiment with innovative musical techniques and bring a fresh perspective to the storytelling, considering that the entire movie is set in the bathroom of a building.

It's an interesting collection of tracks that will raise your heartbeat.
