Celebrate the magic of the Harry Potter films when you move the tabs, levers and wheels across the pages of this book. Inspired by the events seen in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, this book is a charming journey through key scenes from the film, showing Harry’s journey from the cupboard under the stairs to becoming a full-fledged Gryffindor... Harry Potter: Journey to Hogwarts is an interesting and rather intricate pop-up book. I say "pop-up" but there's very little in the way of depth to the pages. There are two separate scenes consisting of staircases and another with boats and clouds. There are, however, more depths to the scenes hidden away behind flaps - including a rather impressive explosion of letters. The book is peppered with interesting, behind-the-scenes facts about the recreated scenes. Turn the wheels, pull the tabs, slits and levers as each page changes in surprising ways. Make the living room of Privet Drive flood with his Hogwarts acceptance letters; watch Harry disappear through the brick wall of Platform 9¾ and discover the magnificent Hogwarts Express; take a boat across the lake... and much more. This is a lovingly crafted keepsake which is quite robust. Fans of the movie will be pleased with the attention to detail in each scene. If I had one grumble... it would be I'd have liked to have seen a Hogwarts exterior scene. Dimensions : 20.4 x 30 x 20.4 cm 8 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
