Encounter war machines, complex lockboxes, mechanical puzzles

The House of Da Vinci is an escape room-escape puzzle adventure game that really makes great use of the genre to create an immersive, engaging game. Whilst some of the puzzles are not overly intuitive (subjective, I know, depending on how your mind works) the hints system is, for the most part, invaluable. There's also many places on the internet where you can go for solutions for those really tricky puzzles.

Using the brilliant mind of Leonardo da Vinci, the 15th/16th century Italian painter, draughtsman, engineer, scientist, theorist, sculptor, and architect, this game offers up mechanical puzzles with hidden compartments alongside brain twisters and baffling riddles, all of which are based on Da Vinci's inventions.

You'll encounter war machines, complex lockboxes, mechanical puzzles. Detect hidden objects by seeing through the surfaces around you. You can also use an unusual gauntlet which allows you to witness events that happened earlier and learn more of the story.

The House of Da Vinci is an escape room-escape puzzle adventure game

Whilst this is a game designed to play alone, I'd argue that it's actually a pretty fun group game, where you can pore over the puzzles and clues, collectively offering up suggestions on how to progress.

I did find some of the puzzles to be a little tricky, with the clues telling me what I already knew... It was implementing those thoughts that was occasionally troublesome. For example, there are times when you have to combine objects that you have in your inventory. But, it's not overly simple how you do this.

I fun, challenging game that is pleasing on the eye.
