Marco Fedalto releases Il Cinema Suonato via Plaza Mayor Company Ltd, a love letter to cinema and the importance of music's ability to provide additional artistic value to the finished product... Il Cinema Suonato presents themes and suites, taken from films of yesterday and today, by composers including Nino Rota, Ennio Morricone, Henry Mancini, Pietro Mascagni, Yann Tiersen and, this album's conductor and arranger, Marco Fedalto. It's a loving look back at some of cinema's most notable themes, some of which have managed to creep into pop culture. From Henry Mancini's 'Theme From The Pink Panther', to Pietro Mascagni's 'Intermezzo Cavalleria' from Raging Bull. There are a handful of tracks which are less known and the inclusion of Fedalto's 'Happy Birthday 5/4' from Mini Pet Pals seems a rather strange inclusion, other than to showcase the composers work in the field. It's a relaxing collection of important themes that comes together to represent some of cinema's most subtle, yet memorable themes. 01 Suite Nino Rota (Amarcord, Mia Malinconia, La Dolce Vita) 02 Suite Once Upon a Time in America (Poverty, Deborah’s Theme) 03 Comptine d'un Autre Été L'après Midi 04 Piano Air (Orchestral Version) 05 Once Upon a Time in the West 06 Moon River 07 Intermezzo Cavalleria 08 Happy Birthday 5/4 09 Suite Nuovo Cinema Paradiso (Opening Credits, Love Theme) 10 - Theme From The Pink Panther Bonus Track 8 Darren Rea Buy this item online
