Brooklyn-based trio, Gooseberry, release their new LP, All My Friends Are Cattle. From punchy punk rock to Beatles-y singer/songwriter tunes, Gooseberry is proving they can do it all, and will constantly keep you guessing about what's next. Though powered by heavy '90s alternative influences, this LP showcases what Gooseberry can be... All My Friends are Cattle is as infectious as it is unpredictable. From track to track the band appear to reinvent themselves. From the punk-rock vibe of opener 'Kikiyon', to the Beatles style of 'Cherry Blossoms', you'd be forgiven for thinking this was a compilation album of very different bands. There's the bluesy, jazz based 'All the Same' and the '90s indie track 'Baby Do You' if you need any more persuading that this is a band that like to experiment with all genres. There's something her for every mood and I found that depending on where my head was at, I found a different song was my favourite each time I listened to the album. If you're a rock fan then there's plenty here for you to get your teeth into. Gooseberry deliver an incredible album that you'll enjoy for years to come. 8 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
