In a future knocked off its axis by corporate greed and stupidity, you have been made redundant and abandoned on the far edge of space with little gear and no safety net. You must explore every nook and cranny, collect dozens of upgrades, and turn over every mysterious alien rock if you want to get revenge on your former employer and return to Earth. Across multiple planets and through myriad challenges, you will be tasked with exploring and understanding these beautiful alien worlds. There are plants to scan, creatures to capture, lakes to swim, caves to spelunk, mountains to climb, upgrades to craft, and hundreds of secrets to uncover…

run, jump, shoot, grind, stomp, dodge, slide, whip and grapple your way through the world

Revenge of the Savage Planet is an upbeat, satirical action-adventure sci-fi. Jump, shoot and collect your way across vibrant alien worlds, uncovering new gear and upgrades, while discovering various hidden secrets.

It's as grindy as you want it to be. You can wander your environment, scanning every single flora, fauna and funga, or simply rattle through the mission objectives, to unlock as many upgrades as you can... as quickly as you can.

The game can be a little daunting at first, and remembering what to collect for what purpose can seem a little confusing. But it won't take long to get your head around everything. New elements and abilities are introduced slowly in order for you to get your head around the gaming mechanics. There are a lot of tools, weapons and abilities for you to unlock to allow you to run, jump, shoot, grind, stomp, dodge, slide, whip and grapple your way through the world.

There are four planets to explore, although it's hinted that there's a fifth one to discover too. You can collect critters and place them in your very own zoo (where you can pet them or run experiments on them) and you can also layout your living quarters with items bought on the online store (once you've earned enough).

One of the most enjoyable aspects of the game is its sense of humour. From training and ad videos to the way your character runs, there's always something quirky around the corner. You can play in solo or co-op mode with a friend... or online stranger.

You can buy The Cosmic Hoarder Edition, for an extra tenner, which also includes Shama Lama's Influencer Accelerator Pr, HR Enforcer Deluxe Suit, Official Soundtrack and Artbook.

It's a game you'll play for quite some time and then revisit in the future in your bid to unlock everything and discover every hidden extra.
