For those who can't get enough of Destiny 2, The Edge of Fate delivers more content to sink your teeth into. Experience a new campaign, new destination, gear, and much more. World tiers allow Guardians to select the level of difficulty that is right for them and reap the rewards that come with victory. Higher tiers offer more challenge, additional narrative threads, new secrets to uncover, and more powerful gear to collect. Unfortunately, the game's main selling point is also its biggest issue. £35 for DLC may feel a little like a kick in the teeth to casual players. Personally, I much prefer this way of releasing content, if it's done correctly. I'd rather pay £35 for a bolt on to a good solid game than have to pay £100 plus for a new game in the franchise which just tweaks the graphics and previous game without allowing you to use maps and destinations from the last release in the series. I'm not overly convinced though, that the additional content here warrants the price tag. The game seems to rewarded those that invest more time rather than rewarding players who display the most amount of skill. This means that obtaining decent loot is not so much about tackling the most challenging activities, but rather grinding endlessly in order to get the best results. The story mode is as strong as ever, and moves the universe forward. However, it's sure to be a release that will split fans down the middle. This is probably the most disappointing DLC for the game so far and certainly not one I can see drawing in an era of new fans. 6 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
