Lumo 2 is the sequel to 2016’s arcade-adventure, Lumo. Experience a brand-new tale of shifting dimensions and new perspectives, with gameplay that never stops evolving. Grab your hat, light your staff, and leap into a world of shifting landscapes and interconnected rooms, each a meticulously designed puzzle box with dangers to dodge, precision platforming and secrets to uncover. Hunt for collectibles, and vault through portals...
Lumo 2 is a classic platformer with over 100 rooms to explore; Three mini games to master; 25 cassettes to hunt down; and 20 ducks to collect. The game is pretty simple, but almost impossible to master. You'll be dying constantly as you fail to make jumps in time, or avoid each room's pitfalls and challenges. It's certainly a game that will appeal to an older generation of gamers. That's not to say that younger players won't find this a rewarding challenge, it's just that for those of us that lived through a never ending stream of platform game releases, this offers just the right level of nostalgia, albeit delivered with a more modern presentation. The graphics and generally gameplay are spot on. For platforming fans, the developers have managed to get the level of difficulty just right. It's punishingly difficult, but not so as to make you rage quit... Well, not that often. And if you do you'll be itching to return for "just one more go". 7 Nick Smithson
