A 2 disc collection of blues tracks has been released by a number of artists to celebrate the memory of Sheffield promoter, and owner of Honey Bee Blues Club, Martin Bedford. The result is a bluestastic compilation of 35 local, national, international blues n roots artists who have played his Honey Bee Blues Club over the last 2 decades...

A Taste of Honey is a wonderfully compiled collection of 35 blues based tracks (2 hr, 18 min, 25 sec). Obviously it's going to appeal to blues fans and those who frequented Honey Bee Blues Club, but it's diverse enough to draw in those who only have a fleeting familiarity or interest in the genre.

It's a lovingly crafted collection and it was refreshing to note that not only was a lot of thought and love poured into the songs that were included, but also just how much care went into ordering them in such a way that they flowed naturally, whilst ensuring that the diversity was clearly on display.

A fitting tribute to Martin Bedford, and a fantastic collection for blues fans.
