Hollywood Records release the original score for Marvel Television’s Daredevil: Born Again. This first volume of music from the series features The Newton Brothers' score from episodes 1- 4. Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer with heightened abilities, is fighting for justice through his bustling law firm, while former mob boss Wilson Fisk pursues his own political endeavours in New York. When their past identities begin to emerge, both men find themselves on an inevitable collision course... This 20-track (37 min, 33 sec) album opens well with the show's main theme, and moves on to amplify the series' dark, raw, and deeply thematic essence, incorporating elements of choir, organ synths, and orchestration to reflect the show’s religious undertones and high stakes. Commenting on the score, The Newton Brothers said: "From the shadows of Hell’s Kitchen to the depths of Matt Murdock’s soul, this soundtrack is a sonic journey through the heart of Daredevil: Born Again. We wanted to craft a score that immerses listeners in Daredevil’s world - a sound that is dark and haunting, yet full of resilience. It carries the rage that fuels his fight and the vulnerability that makes him human.” It's certainly a score that helps to create a sonic soundscape that beautifully captures the show's themes. I loved the choral elements what are peppered throughout the album. My only real complaint is that they should have just released one longer album of music. When a lot of score's are released that are well over an hour in length, releasing a 40 min soundtrack seems a little bit of a kick in the teeth to soundtrack collectors. 7 Darren Rea Buy this item online
