Plaza Mayor Company, Ltd release the original motion picture soundtrack for A Tooth Fairy Tale, with music by Aldo Shllaku. Welcome to a kingdom of magic and mystery. Van is a teenage tooth fairy with a rebellious streak who wishes to explore life beyond the boundaries of his secluded civilization and rigid traditions. When he encounters Rupee, the world's cutest troll, and Gemma, a daring goblin girl with a knack for science, the three tiny creatures embark on an adventure to unite their separate kingdoms while avoiding malicious encroaching spiders... Aldo Shllaku's original score for A Tooth Fairy Tale musically supplies everything that you'd expect for a movie of this type. There are melancholic reflective moments and sweet, rambling pieces that set up the world the movie is set within. 'Second Time Out' has a jaunty theme, but other than that there's very little here that is memorable or that will stay with you. I've been listening to this for quite some time, but even after over a dozen play throughs, there's nothing that caught my attention - other than the brief segment in 'Second Time Out'. That's not to say it's a bland or boring score, far from it. It's possible downfall is that it's too diverse if anything. The themes don't grow organically, they seem to breeze in and breeze back out again. The album ends with the obligatory "pop" music track. 'Take Flight', performed by Stanaj feels a little muted. I can hear a great song in there... but the mix feels flat. Stanja's vocals have been manipulated a little too much electronically and it feels too unnatural. 7 Darren Rea Buy this item online
