Every decision carves your path – shaping your fate and the future of Nevendaar

Disciples: Domination is a beautifully realised turn based RPG.

You continue Avyanna’s journey in a grim tale of power, war and sacrifice. Every decision carves her path – shaping her fate and the future of Nevendaar.

It starts with a built in tutorial which slowly introduces you to the gaming mechanics. This is so masterfully integrated that it's an almost flawless integration that dovetails into the main game.

Consult your companions for guidance as your choices shape your faction reputation, impacting how others react to your rule. Unlock and choose trusted companions to reflect your play style - leveraging their combat prowess and unique world skills to aid your quest to save Nevendaar. Recruit and upgrade units from five distinct factions. Build powerful squads by combining unique skills and abilities and train them to defeat your enemies in turn-based encounters.

Disciples: Domination is a beautifully realised turn based RPG

At first glance this seems quite a rich and layered game, and for the most part it is. However I did feel that the gameplay lacked a little soul, with the whole experience, at times, feeling as though it was generated using AI.

The voice acting is perfect, certainly amongst the game's highlights, allowing you to get behind the characters.

It has all the hallmarks of a well polished game, but I honestly think the RRP is a little too expensive. If you're a serious fan of RPGs, then you'll be itching to snap this one up. For casual gamers, you might want to wait until it's on sale.
