Your name is Ryo Saeba, also known as City Hunter. In this line of work, you're a well-known professional "sweeper." You take on all kinds of jobs, from protecting beautiful women to assassinations. In other words, you're a cleaner who gets rid of the scum of the city. That means you live a life constantly on the edge. You partner, Kaori, is the younger sister of your deceased best friend, but she never brings in any decent jobs. So, what kind of work is waiting for you today...?

City Hunter aims to capture the nostalgia of the original game

Originally released 1990, this reimagining of the original City Hunter aims to capture the nostalgia of the original game, whilst delivering new elements. For those who enjoyed the original, there might be something here that you'll enjoy but for everyone else this feels a little like a missed opportunity.

The environments are too repetitive and there's to many empty rooms, which make it feel like the developers added them to try and stretch the gameplay out a little more.

The gaming mechanics are fine, but nothing overly noteworthy. Graphically it's pretty standard for a retro game. £20 is also a little expensive for a game you'll probably get bored of after a few hours.
