Case Solved: The London Files blends cozy noir storytelling with the elegant logic-driven deduction popularised by Einstein’s Riddle. However, if you're looking for a deep, engaging storyline you might feel a little disappointed with what is on offer here. It's simply a case of being confronted with a crime and following a few clues in order to try to work out whether each suspect is innocent or guilty. You're given the scenario and then have to place each suspect's movements through a series of given variables. Each of the suspects must be allocated their own variables before you can move to the next part of the investigation. You can also find clues in the environments in order to give you a further hint.

Once you've got all of the variables correctly matched to each suspect you'll be told you have successfully completed that element of the game and you can move onto the next. Should you get any aspects wrong you'll be told how many need fixing, but not which ones are incorrect. Follow the clues that give you some of the variables and you'll soon narrow down your search.

Whilst I did enjoy this game, particularly the art style and point and click setting, it is quite a limiting game. I found the cases fairly easy to solve (even if some of them ended up being completed by a process of elimination through trial and error) and I can't see myself wanting to return.

For £15 this might appeal to puzzle fans who like to solve the mystery through a process of elimination.
