Éric Neveux's original score for The Hunt is released via Plaza Mayor Company Ltd. When friends on a hunting trip get into a deadly clash with other hunters, they vow to keep it a secret. But as paranoia sets in and a ruthless gang seeks revenge the friends must confront their morality, families, and savage instincts... Éric Neveux paints a rich canvas here with his score for The Hunt (Traqués). There are electronic horror cues, that you'd expect to hear in horror/suspense movies (in tracks like 'Ambush') and then there are beautifully melancholic themes (housed in tracks like 'Hunters', 'The Great Deer', 'Bullets', 'Inextricable' and 'Elegy'). As a soundtrack, it works wonderfully to create a story through music. As the series unfolds over six episodes, Neveux's score provides the heart and backbone to the narrative. I was impressed at how the orchestrations and electronic elements manage to sit side by side without it being obvious of the shift in tone. I totally fell in love with the music here. Sure it works well to create tension and suspense in the movie, but it also stands as an album of incredible music in its own right. 8 Darren Rea Buy this item online
