Marco Werba's soundtrack for 3 Killer Pigs is released via Plaza Mayor Company Ltd. A desperate farmer resorts to the unthinkable to reclaim his livestock. A blood pact unleashes killer pigs returning to their nightmare’s genesis. The farmhouse and inhabitants are shrouded in darkness when the three piggies come home...

The music for 3 Killer Pigs was nothing like I was expecting. This is a horror score which leans very heavily on emotive themes. It opens, and closes, with the beautiful song 'Sadness and Tears', performed by Elisabeth Green. There's also two versions of 'The Christmas Song', one sung by Lucia Rubedo and the other by Sara Werblowsky. And whilst the majority of this 29 track album (44 min, 02 sec) is comprised of electronic themes, there are tracks performed by both the Boccherini Chamber Orchestra and the Bow Tie Symphony Orchestra. There's also a jazz approach on tracks like 'Crying'.

I think it's this diversity of approaches that ultimately makes it an appealing and richly rewarding listening experience.

I enjoyed the Halloween inspired simplicity of tracks like 'Pitchfork/Camping Killing'. This is one of those scores I'll be dipping in and out of for years to come.
