When Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia travel to Jabim recruiting
allies for the fledgling rebellion, they unwittingly set into
motion events that will ignite one man's betrayal of his people,
pit rebel hero, and attract the attention of the Empire's
deadliest enforcer - Darth Vader. Luke confronts the legacy
of the Jedi father he never knew in an epic tale that determines
the fate of an entire planet, and sheds new light on Anakin
Skywalker's actions at the Battle of Jabiim during the Clone
Wars...
In
the Shadows of Their Fathers is
the sixth volume in the Star
Wars: Empire
series and contains stories that were originally printed in
issues 29-32 of Dark Horse's Star Wars: Empire comic
books.
21
years before the Battle of Yavin, Anakin Skywalker betrayed
the people of Jabiim and their leader, Gillmun, leaving them
to the Separatist army. Now, a year after the first Death
Star's destruction, only a decimated resistance led by Gillmun's
son remains to fight the Separatists - and Luke Skywalker
has come to persuade them to join the Rebellion. But will
they visit the sins of the father upon the son?
The
three tales in this collection build on the Star Wars
franchise - helping to flesh out further details from the
movies. While I found this collection a little on the dry
side, there is still plenty to keep Star Wars fans
glued to the pages.
Whether
you are a die-hard Star Wars fan (of all formats);
a fan of the movie series only, or even if you only like the
original trilogy of movies, this collection will contain plenty
to keep you entertained.
