After much trial and error, the elemental entity known as
the Swamp Thing has succeeded in harnessing the life-force
of his successor into the one form with which he can coexist
- a new human soul, to be born of his love Abby (with help
from the sardonic magus John Constantine). But even as the
couple begin preparing for their impending domesticity, forces
far beyond their intimate world are conspiring to drive them
apart once more - only this time, the resulting distance may
prove to be unbridgeable...
Infernal
Triangles collects
together stories that were originally printed between 1987-88.
If you haven't been keeping abreast of what has been going
on in this universe you might be in for a bit of a shock.
Also, as there is no textual opening to this collection -
putting the events into some sort of context within the Swamp
Thing universe - you might find it a little hard to get
into.
I'm
stating the obvious here, I know, but this collection is only
really going to appeal to serious Swamp Thing fans.
You may find some slight interest if you are a follower of
Constantine stories through the Hellblazer series,
but to be honest you may find this collection a little hard
to keep up with.
For
Swamp fans, Infernal
Triangles pushes
the envelope on what has gone before and helps to blossom
the characters' paths into something far more interesting
than you'll be expecting.
