My naughty little sister is the naughtiest little girl in the world, and there's double trouble with her best friend, Bad Harry. There's a peculiar pile of green mouldy crusts on the floor - where has it come from? Bad Harry gets covered in polish and sawdust, but he doesn't think that's naughty at all. And why on earth are those children taking pieces of cheese and bacon rind to the library...?

My Naughty Little Sister and Bad Harry is a double CD collection that contains a number of short stories about a loveable, irrepressibly mischievous little girl who is always getting into trouble. This collection of short stories pairs her up with Bad Harry - which means a double helping of trouble.

This collection is read by Jan Francis, and was originally written for the BBC's Listen With Mother radio programme. All the stories are based on Dorothy Edwards's stories, which were themselves recollections of her own childhood with her naughty little sister.

As the stories have been in print for over 50 years the term "naughty" is not used in the same way as we do today. There's no burning down of schools or robbing the elderly to pay for drugs. This is more a collection of tales about two children who are very curious about the world they live in. For example, in one tale Bad Harry feeds a mouse in the local library that's been there for ages.

Francis's retelling of these classic tales is worth mentioning too. Her delivery is fantastic, as are her vocal talents. I didn't know what to expect from her reading, but having experienced it I can honestly say that I can't think of anyone better to tell these tales than her.

This collection is ideal for bedtimes. Parents can easily stick a CD on and let their little ones listen to one short tale before going to sleep.

This double CD collection represents excellent value for money and will find a welcome place in the hearts of young souls, and their parents.
