The tragic events of the Infinite Crisis tore apart the Teen
Titans. Devastated, the group barely held together for the
following year, with a rotating roster of over twenty new
members. Now, one year later, the core members of the Titans
return to heal old wounds and re-form the renowned team, As
Robin, Wonder Girl and Cyborg along with interim members Kid
Devil and Ravenger embark on a journey to find their former
colleagues, they discover that there had been a traitor in
their ranks. With the identity and intent of the saboteur
unknown, the team must be ready at all times for the inevitable
assault...
Since
the first appearance of Robin, teenaged heroes have banded
together to fight evil and learn from each other... as the
Teen Titans. Shattered by the death of Superboy during Infinite
Crisis, the Titans are desperately trying to rebuild,
with new recruits including the infernal Kid Devil and the
dangerous - perhaps deadly - Ravager, daughter of Deathstroke
the Terminator. But chance brings them into contact with ex-Titan
Gar 'Beast Boy' Logan, and his new team, the Doom Patrol -
as they face off against the Brotherhood of Evil.
This
is not the place for Teen Titan novices to be introduced
to the series. Titans Around the World is pretty heavy
going and you'll have to be pretty much up to speed with the
universe in order to get the best from this collection.
Those
that are will get a huge kick out of Geoff Johns script, and
an even bigger buzz from the artwork. There's some pretty
impressive fighting sequences here that could have easily
failed to grab the readers attention in the wrong hands.
What
we end up with is a good, solid collection that will satisfy
the hard-core fans.
