Boba Fett, the greatest bounty hunter
in the galaxy, faces four of the most dangerous missions of

to seek a mysterious prize, or settling a dispute between

collects together four different Boba Fett tales that follow
Star Wars's most popular bounty hunter on four very
different missions.
2000 AD fans can be forgiven for thinking they are
reading a Judge Dredd tale when they flick through
the first story, Sacrifice. It's not surprising really
as Dredd writer and artist John Wagner and Cam Kennedy
work together on this tale. I wonder if Kennedy had tongue
firmly in cheek as he drew Fett on his Bounty Chopper?
It looks a lot like Dredd on his Lawmaster. Even the alien race that employ Fett's services are dressed in headgear that readers will recognise from residents of Mega City One.
Next up is Wreckage, which follows Fett as he undertakes a perilous mission to retrieve a mysterious item from an abandoned star destroyer. Just what is so valuable that an Imperial officer would employ the services of Fett?. Until the final page, I thought this was supposed to be Grand Moff Tarkin from A New Hope. As it wasn't, I was at a loss to explain why the artist had chosen to model the character on Peter Cushing.
Overkill is not so much a Fett story, being more concerned with following the acts of the Imperial commanders who have employed his services. In a bid to move up the chain of command, one officer has taken matters into his own hands - hiring Fett to insure that a ruthless job is carried out efficiently. Although, when he realises that he's gone too far, how can he call the bounty hunter off the job? But then, nothing is as it first appears.
Agent of Doom is interesting in that it takes place after the events of Return of the Jedi. Here, an alien species wants to employ Fett's services in order to right a wrong. However, this is a poor race, on the brink of extinction and they don't have enough money to employ the galaxy's greatest bounty hunter... that is until it's pointed out to Fett that his reputation has taken a serious dent after being eaten by the Sarlaac and letting Han Solo escape from this clutches so many times. So, in the end, Fett agrees to embark on an almost impossible quest so that his reputation will be restored throughout the galaxy. This story is also drawn by Cam Kennedy. And, like Sacrifice, features a humanoid alien species that wears headgear similar to the residents of Mega City One.
At the end of the day, this is an enjoyable collection of tales that will be welcomed by Boba Fett fans across the galaxy.
