She is the world's greatest cat burglar, and an adversary/lover
to Batman. But she's had enough of Gotham City and needs a
break from the Dark Knight. What better escape than a European
vacation? But it's not all fun and games, as there's business
to take care of...
When
in Rome has
to be one of the most interesting and downright enjoyable
Catwoman tales ever to be committed to the graphic novel form.
Selina Kyle is on the trail of something much more important
than any of the usual petty crimes she's being undertaking
in Gotham. She is about to embark on a mission of grand larceny
in Rome. Along the way she manages to squeeze a little self-discovery
into the mix. But, the last person she expects to be her travelling
companion and partner in crime is the Riddler.
This
collection goes off on bizarre slants every now and then,
but there is a good reasons for all the little diversions...
as soon becomes apparent. Why does Kyle keep having weird
dreams and doing things totally out of character - like throwing
herself at the Riddler?
Catwoman
also starts to unearth something about her past - and slowly
stars to unravel who her parents were. But will the truth
be too much for her?
This
collection collects together the Eisner Award winning 6-part
miniseries under one cover. The repro job is pretty impressive.
But then it's nothing less than this collection deserves.
