It's chocks away once again as Dan Dare, Pilot of the Future,
returns. Dan, Lex and Digby - with their alien guide
Lero - finally make planetfall on Cryptos, but Flamer is missing.
Unfortunately, there's no time to search for him, as the Phant
invasion has begun. With a new friend - the alien creature
Stripey - in tow, our heroes begin a dangerous quest to stop
the Phants... a quest which will take them to the Phant homeworld,
and a showdown with their leader, Orak! Can Dan and his crew
fight a desperate battle to save two worlds?...
Dan
Dare, Pilot of the Future, and his unforgettable crew take
to the stars once again in Rogue Planet. From the pages
of legendary UK comic, Eagle, these classic adventures
of one of the best known, loved and influential of British
comic characters continue in these beautiful library editions.
Featuring the timeless artwork of massively influential Dare
creator Frank Hampson, this epic tale is just as thrilling
today as it was on its debut in Eagle
in February 1953.
Dan,
Lex and Digby - brought by the alien Crypt, Lero - have made
planetfall on Cryptos, Leto's home planet, but they have lost
cadet "Flamer" Spry in the process. Now they must
help Leto stop the evil Phants invading, in a planet-spanning
epic that will take them to Phantos - and a showdown with
both the Phant high priests, the Kruels, and their supreme
leader ORAK.
This
collection also features a look at Frank Hampson's comic-strip
life of Jesus, The Road of Courage, featuring rare
artwork and Hampson's own recollections of his journey to
the Holy Land.
For
those that have been following this series, Rogue Planet
presents another collection of must own strips from the '50s.
However, it won't be to everyone's tastes. Younger readers
may find it more than a little dated.
